Garden design services – helping you achieve your perfect garden
Just like any other major home building project, creating a new garden represents a significant investment in your property. It’s best approached with the help and support of garden design specialists who can offer you a range of garden design services that meet your individual needs.
Here at Karen Chamberlain Garden Design we are a small boutique practice working exclusively with private clients across Essex and Suffolk. We offer several different garden design services, covering all sizes and styles of gardens.
Garden design: The complete package
We are able to offer a full garden design service from surveys and initial proposals through to construction drawings. We’ll also listen to your requirements and will base the design and planting on what you want to achieve from your garden. If you’d prefer a low maintenance garden we’ll ensure that the design and plant selection is considered carefully to reflect this.
Although we love getting our teeth into a complete redesign, we realise that some clients just need a little guidance and inspiration. For this reason we’re delighted to offer our very popular garden design advice service and a selection of courses.
How we work
We pride ourselves in working closely with our clients in a transparent manner (we don’t believe in ‘small print’!). We like to listen attentively to their requirements, helping them to identify their preferred garden style (from cottage to contemporary) and then design a garden to suit their specific requirements and budget. We prefer to use traditional methods to create our design drawings, although we can always provide electronic files for safe keeping.
Design to build
As our specialism is in design we do not give quotes to ‘build’ the garden, however we are happy to introduce our clients to professional landscape contractors. The contractors will be able to take on-board all aspects of turning our plans into reality. (Please be assured that we never request ‘recommendation payments’ from these contractors in order to make our design fees appear temptingly low, but which would significantly inflate the cost of building your garden!)

We look forward to hearing from you and discussing your garden further.
